Keith Baker (creator of Eberron) has custom designed a 2 hour game for this special event. Both he and Ruty will be taking turns Dungeon Mastering 4 tables of 5 players over an 8 hour period. We will be STREAMING this event LIVE to raise money for the charity: Reach Out and Read.
Since our first game in 2010 we've raised over $15,000 for http://www.reachoutandread.org/
We are members of the Tabletop Gaming community who want to show our support for RPG Games and Future Gamers of the world. Help us Help Children by giving them the boost they need and showing kids that reading can lead to amazingly fun things... like playing!
What Is Reach Out and Read?
Reach Out and Read is an evidence-based nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms nationwide by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud.
Reach Out and Read builds on the unique relationship between parents and medical providers to develop critical early reading skills in children, beginning at 6 months of age. The 3.8 million families served annually by “Reach Out and Read” read together more often, their children enter kindergarten with larger vocabularies, with stronger language skills, and better prepared to succeed.
Pediatric healthcare providers (including pediatricians, family physicians, and pediatric nurse practitioners) are trained in the three-part Reach Out and Read model to promote early literacy and school readiness. Read More: Reach Out and Read
